MAKE ME A MATCH
. . . A COMEDY ABOUT HEAVY PETTING . . .

Synopsis

If the romantic highlight of your day is cuddling with your cat it may be time to consider alternative roads to amour. This is Mia Cane’s situation on her 30th birthday. When her only invitation for the evening comes from a creepy co-worker, Mia opts to celebrate at home with her best friend, Fran. After the third bottle of wine is uncorked, performing a magic spell to enliven Mia’s love life sounds like a grand idea. She and Fran prepare the potion, and her beloved cat, Match, fascinated by the interesting smelling powders, is right in the middle of the mixture. When the potion is complete and Mia must state her wish, she realizes that the longest relationship she’s ever sustained is with Match, so she asks for a man with qualities like her cat.

The next morning Mia pries open her liquor heavy eyelids and discovers her front door ajar and her precious cat gone. That same day a handsome and mysterious man, Matt, moves in next door. The new neighbor charms Mia while assisting her in the search for the missing feline, and as he begins to fill the time Mia previously spent with Match she starts to notice odd similarities between him and the missing cat. Matt’s eyes are the exact color of Match’s, he has an odd habit of pawing at his head to groom his hair, and when he says her name, ‘Mia’, it sounds eerily like he is saying ‘meow.’

Mia begins to suspect that the magic spell worked too well and that her new boyfriend is actually a conjured version of her lost cat. Are Matt and Match mutually exclusive, or is it possible for Mia to have both in her life - and at the same time?
